The year was 1981 and it was my first trip to a Toys R Us. Empire Strikes Back was still fresh in my mind and in my heart. I was told by my parents that I could buy one figure and little did I know how difficult that would be. I got to the Star Wars section and was mesmerized by a giant wall of figures. Today’s children will more than likely never know the awe I experienced looking up at all the pegs occupied by multiple figures. Luke in Hoth gear called out to me and I have never stopped collecting. Large box stores have, however, stopped stocking. I can’t remember the last time I visited a store with stocked pegs. I want collectors to be able to collect. I want children to get the toy they want. I hope you feel the same passion as me and enjoy looking at the full ‘pegs’.
